Sustainability
Sentia aims to be the obvious choice for customers in the Nordics who value sustainable projects, and therefore incorporates both environmental and social directives. Our ambition is to be not just a contractor, but a strategic partner setting the standard for a more sustainable construction industry

The construction industry faces several ESG risks, including workplace safety in high-risk environments, carbon-heavy emissions from materials and logistics, environmental impacts from land use and waste, and ethical concerns in sourcing and operations. In 2015, the United Nations adopted 17 global goals to guide the world towards sustainable development by 2030. Sentia’s operations both contribute to and are shaped by these ambitions. In 2025, a joint transition plan was developed for all companies within the group, outlining overarching targets, interim goals, and key activities. Furthermore, the group's operations are guided by international frameworks, such as a Net Zero target by 2045, the ILO Principles and Rights at Work, and the UN Convention against Corruption.
Through the forming of Sentia, there is now an even greater opportunity to drive change, accelerate knowledge transfer, and lead larger, more complex projects in both Norway and Sweden. The Group has a proven track record in delivering innovative and sustainable buildings, including the tower of Lake Mjøsa, one of the world’s tallest timber buildings, and Läppstiftet, where the Group achieved an exceptional reuse of materials of up to 70 percent.
Hent leads the construction of two new metro stations Fornebuporten and Flytårnet as part of the Fornebubanen development in Oslo. The project, commissioned by the City of Oslo, covers 17,500 m² and will run from 2024 to 2027.

SSEA is leading the construction of the new Stockholm University of the Arts (SKH) building, located in the Slakthusområdet district. Commissioned by Atrium Ljungberg and delivered in collaboration with SKH, the project will house education and research in circus, dance, film, opera, theatre, and performing arts.
